- March 4 - OKSW returns..

- August 31 - A new editor design has been implemented, part of the MediaWiki Usability Initiative.
- August 23 - A new logo was procured for OKSW by an anonymous donor. It's making OKSW look GOOD!

- November 4 - Yankees win World Series

- October 2 - Rio de Janeiro wins the spot for the 2016 Summer Olympics. Chicago and Madrid were kicked out.
September 2009
- September 22 - OKSW changed its default theme to "Vector" due to it being a lot cleaner.
- September 11 - USCG training causes a big scare on the Potomac River and it's the 8th anniversary of the 9/11 attacks. God bless America, God curse Al Qaeda.
